Huisman Sickle Cell Foundation

Huisman Sickle Cell Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support to people and families affected by Sickle Cell Anemia. The foundation aims to use social media to promote events, connect with supporters, and facilitate donations. Our website features educational information on sickle cell, resources for those in need, and the ability to accept donations to fund our activities. Event Highlights and Accomplishments

Our History

Established in 2006, the Huisman Sickle Cell Foundation of Augusta, GA Inc is a registered 501c3 public charity dedicated to help improve the quality of lives of those living with sickle cell disease and chronic illnesses in the Central Savannah River Area and surrounding communities.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to help improve the quality of life for individuals with Sickle Cell Disease.

A Legacy of Supporting Families

Since the foundation's inception, proceeds raised and donated from the annual Sickle Cell Walks and Banquets, local pharmaceutical companies, organized community groups, churches, and individuals have been instrumental in supporting families living with Sickle Cell Disease.

Annually, the foundation awards scholarships to sickle cell patients who desire to further their education beyond high school.

The Foundation Board members are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals living with disease.
